Dustin Bradley Wins Friday At Mohawk International Speedway On Susta Buds Night

HOGANSBURG, NY – With clear skies all week, a beautiful racing surface and some last minute decisions lead to some new faces in Victory Lane. The four class field of the CrossRoads Tobacco Sportsman, Novice Sportsman and Bandits would take to the raceway.

After crossing the half way mark in the 2021 campaign points would be valuable on this night.

First up for their 15 lap feature, the Mod Lites were ready to put on a show. Nick Mallette would lead from the pole with a thirst to return to Victory Lane. After starting from the 3rd spot, Tristan Dribble was seeking to be a force on this night. Dibble and Mallette would battle side by side for the first 5 laps. On Lap 6 Dibble would find the fast lane and start to pull away. However Harley Brown had other ideas. Brown would keep himself a car length back from Dibble. On lap 13 the yellow would fly for the only time during this feature. Brown decided this would be his best chance to capture the lead. However Dibble was able to get off to a quick start and never looked back, winning his 3rd feature of the season. Brown would finish in second.

The Bandits would be up next for their 8 lap affair as Curtis Smith would lead wire to wire and not be challenged.

The CrossRoads Tobacco Sportsman would take the track for their 25 lap event. With Billy Cook and Casey Swamp starting from the pole. The first 8 laps would see C.Swamp set a very fast pace, however the yellow flag would be displayed 3 times during these laps negating any advantage he had gained. By Lap 9, a man who almost decided to stay at home pool side for the night, came to the front. The 83d of Dustin Bradley gained the top spot and started to pull away. After 2 more yellow flags, Bradley would use the clear track in front of him and absolutely dominate the field for the remaining laps. Dustin Bradley would park it in Victory Lane for the first time ever in a Sportsman. Casey Swamp would finish in a career best 5th place. Zach Arquiett would finish 8th, his 6 consecutive top ten finish. A few drivers post race stated Dustin Bradley was in league of his own on this night.

The Novice Sportsman would conclude the racing action on Susta Buds night. The 15 lap event would see another new face in victory lane as Chad Vallance would start from the 3rd spot and take the lead on the first green flag. Vallance would not be challenged on this evening and would go on to lead all 15 laps.

Next week the Mohawk International Raceway will present the CrossRoads Tobacco Sportsman, Novice Sportsman, Mod Lites and Bandits. First green flag drops at 7:30pm!
